TRGGR Radio 3.25.2011 – Pt. 1

On this episode (in two parts) we highlight women artists and activists. In the first hour we speak with Philadelphia-based artist-activist Betsy Casanas about her upcoming exhibition and her philosophy of social justice through the arts. In the second hour (see below), we speak with several young women of color as they gear up for the presentation of this year’s Body Politics on the campus of UMass, Amherst. Later in the show, Jelisa Difo and Jasmin Torrejon, two dynamic young women activists from the North End Organizing Network (NEON) based in Springfield, MA joined us to announce the launching of their Question Campaign, which is intended to increase the participation of local residents in the revitalization of their community.
